Dear Roke,
Team Match - Huge Success!
We had several students take top student awards at the Team Match last Saturday! As usual, our studio was well represented. Special congratulations to Alan Moore for winning the Best Smile Award, and Joel Jimenez for winning Most Charismatic Award.Designs by Kalina!
This week our studio is displaying dance practice and performance wear from Designs by Kalina. Kalina's clothing lines are designed for followers who have been looking for just the right practice skirt or top and leaders who have been searching for pants with maximum comfort, fit and flexibility while dancing.
These cool styles and flexible fabrics are the result of Kalina's ongoing association with the Ballroom Dance community, both as a professional ballroom competitor and her skills in designing and manufacturing a range of dance attire.
Kalina has also sponsored numerous professional competitors across the United States, including two Cheryl Burke Dance instructors - Lisa Cristiani and me.
Her elegant gowns are ideal for American Smooth, International Standard, Latin, Rhythm, Evening, Practice, and Pageants.
Each of her creations reflects an appreciation for individual concepts, styles, and body types. (Of course her fashions for men are not nearly as flashy as her meticulously beaded gowns.)

BOLERO on Sundays - Beginning April 22
|
No prior experience is needed to have fun learning this rhythmic Latin dance. But if you like Rumba, chances are you'll quickly become fond of Bolero. This dance is usually done to slower Latin music, with a tempo that is similar to Rumba. Some of its distinguishing features include gliding, graceful steps, sensuous patterns and elements of rise and fall
more commonly found in smooth dances.
